Hey, my name is Dominique. Currently I attend Washington High School. I’m 18 years old and a senior and excited to graduate this year. I’ve been in Heath Science academy since my freshman year in high school. I chose this field because I enjoy it and it’s so many things you can learn from science. I’ve always had a passion to take care of animals, (since I was 12) so I’ll be going to a veterinary school to become a Veterinarian Technician. I’ll be doing that pretty soon since we graduate May 18th, 2011. I’m interested on how your Health science classes maintain and how you guys work on things in you science classes. Here at Washington High School, in our science classes, we do many hands on projects, group activities, and online work so we stay pretty busy. I’m looking forward to speaking with you guys soon!

Hello my name is Jasmine H. and I am 17 years old, and also I’m currently a senior at Washington high school. The best words I would use to describe myself is very laid back with a open mind to all opinions , because I care what the public has to say because I feel that everyone deserves a chance to be heard. I’m an easy person to get along with because I have the attitude of a business woman who plans to be very successful in everything that I do. I also am a very motivating person because I like to influence others to do better or accomplish whatever they set there mind too achieve it. Meanwhile at the same time I’m a very free spirited person who doesn’t let life get to me so quick because I live for today and want to make the best of it while I’m still here on the face of this earth. I also have very similar interest that enjoys different kinds of music, loves to dance, and experience different things because if it’s wrong I plan to learn and grow from my mistake and not make that mistake again, I’m just starting to mature and think of the places I could be 20years from. I jus have a clear vision of where I’m planning to be in the next few years. My ultimate goal that I plan to achieve is to complete college and be a veterinarian or be a pharmacist no matter how long it takes. Ultimately, I’m all around a good person who will speak to anyone and they are more than welcome to come speak to me if there is ever a problem that they may need a friend.

Even though I am having a child in high school, I still maintain to keep A’s and B’s on my report card and I make it to school everyday. It is very hard to get up and get ready and be on time but I still do it. Having a child is a very big responsibility. It has made me grow up faster and see the world and people for who they really are. Once you have made a “grown-up” decision like this then your fully responsible for it. I have had a lot of awakening experiences since then. One is not to expect any hands-outs from no one. People are going to say there going to be here for you but in the end there not. Another is to appreciate those who really are here, because they do not have to do the things they do. I still have goals in life, one is to become a nurse, good mother, and have a nice amount of money so my son and I can do the things I never had the chance to do. I also want to graduate from college. I still can and will accomplish my goals, I just have to work hard at them and stay focused.

In my 11th grade year I got pregnant and on January 27th, 2010 gave birth to my lovely daughter Eriyana. Next semester I will be attended ATS for half a day, to get my Cna license. I have been in health and science every since I was a freshman, because I knew that I wanted to be in the health care field. After I graduate I plan on either going to Emporia University or pick a local trade school to continue in my nursing. I’m excited that this is my last year of high school and I am excited to be graduating and start my life.
